At the Mawlawi Centre in Manchester, the United Kingdom Kurdish Association (UKKA) launched a Health Platform with the participation of several doctors, health specialists and healthcare staff, aiming to improve communication and management in order to better serve Kurds living in Britain.
The platform plans to establish meetings and discussions between healthcare professionals and officials from both the Kurdistan Regional Government's Ministry of Health and the UK's National Health Service, creating direct links and the exchange of accurate information between the British healthcare system and hospitals in the Kurdistan Region.
As an independent Kurdish organisation within the British system, the UKKA said it considers itself responsible for advocating and supporting the health and welfare of Kurds living in the UK. (Kurdish Community UK)
