A 16 March drone attack in northern Syria killed seven Kurdish children, their 18-year-old sister and their parents, all apparently civilians, Human Rights Watch said.
The strike hit a farm south of Kobane controlled by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces. The munition was Turkish-made, and only the family's youngest daughter, aged nine, survived with fragment injuries.
HRW said the attack raised serious concerns that the attackers did not take adequate precautions to protect civilians, and noted Türkiye's continued support for factions with abusive records. (Human Rights Watch)
