Parliamentary Tribute Honours Kurdish Arts Collective Agire Jiyan

A parliamentary tribute celebrating Agire Jiyan, the acclaimed Kurdish arts collective, was held in Committee Room 5 at the House of Commons in March 2026.

At the event, Agire Jiyan was presented with an honorary award recognising their outstanding contributions and impact on Kurdish cultural heritage.

Organised by the Centre for Kurdish Progress, the evening brought together figures from politics, culture and the Kurdish community to honour the collective's work in preserving and promoting Kurdish culture, music and community engagement.

The organisers described the occasion as a unique opportunity to celebrate Kurdish achievements in a parliamentary setting. (Centre for Kurdish Progress)
