Kurdish Intellectuals Organisation Wins Community Inspiration Award in Birmingham

At a formal ceremony in Birmingham, the Kurdish Intellectuals Organisation in the UK was presented with the 14th Annual Community Inspiration Award 2026.

The event was attended by Paul Faulkner, Deputy Lieutenant of the West Midlands and representative of the King of the United Kingdom. The award is organised annually by the Community Foundation, with competition across all of England, and was presented by senior officials from the UK government, parliament and the police force.

Dr. Gova Ahmed, President of the Kurdish Intellectuals Organisation, wearing traditional Kurdish clothing, was called to the stage first among the group to receive the award.

The organisation said the award was the result of a professional evaluation by a high committee of its activities, and dedicated the achievement to the entire Kurdish diaspora in the UK. (Kurdish Intellectuals Organisation)
