Twenty years after the murder of Banaz Mahmod, an Iraqi Kurdish woman killed in an "honour" killing orchestrated by her father, uncle and cousins, her sister Bekhal is continuing to campaign for legal change.
Banaz, 20, from Mitcham in south London, was murdered in 2006. Her sister testified at the trial of their father and uncle, and has lived under a new identity since.
Bekhal hopes the UK government will finally adopt "Banaz's law", proposals that include creating statutory guidance on "honour"-based abuse, informed by survivors, so that professionals can better identify the signs and support victims.
The case remains one of the most high-profile "honour"-based killings in the UK.
