Ali Doğan Gönültaş, one of the most distinctive voices of contemporary Kurdish folk music, performs at Kings Place in London on Sunday 8 November 2026 (doors 7:30pm).
The Singer is known for his deeply moving, contemporary interpretations of Anatolian and Kurdish folk traditions, blending haunting vocals with rich instrumental textures. His work draws on the musical heritage of Kurdish, Armenian and Anatolian communities, weaving songs of memory, heritage and storytelling into an intimate live setting.
The concert takes place in the heart of King's Cross — now the UK's biggest transport hub — making it easily accessible for Kurdish audiences travelling from across the country, including the large Kurdish communities of London, Leeds and Birmingham.
Tickets are available directly from the Kings Place box office website, and the venue's café and bar areas stay open to concert-goers throughout the evening.
This is part of Kings Place's Contemporary series, which regularly features exceptional voices of world music. (Source: Kings Place London)
